
Communion set owned by Rev. Charles Tisdall was gifted to the Kinder Library
The Rev. Charles Archibald Tisdall was born and educated in Auckland. Tisdall studied at the University of Auckland gaining an M.A with honours in political science in 1895, and then trained at St John’s College in Parnell. For a short time in 1902, Rev Charles Tisdall became the Warden of the college.
This travelling Holy Communion three-piece set belonged to the Rev. Charles Tisdall and it was gifted by Peter Tisdall, his grandson to an Anglican Church in the Pacific.
